Decorative drapery hardware

Since you don't want the whole neighborhood to be able to see into your living room at all hours of the day, it is important that you find a window treatment that will block wandering eyes, as well as light, from coming through your window.

A window treatment can be the focus of a room or can simply blend in, but no matter how much focus you put on your curtains or blinds, you need to ensure that they will stay attached to the wall.

Drapes can be heavier than you expect, so a sturdy drapery rod is very important. Wood and plastic rods can crack if you have heavy drapes, so a type of metal is always more dependable. You can select thick and thin drapery rods, depending on the weight of your drapes and the style of your home.

To cover a sliding door, you may want to investigate curtains that will pull all the way across the door to block out sun, especially if the doors face a table or a main living area. Look for curtain tracks that attach directly to the wall or ceiling and run smoothly without interfering with any of your other door hardware . A curtain track that gets jammed is more frustrating than having to sit in the sun!

For your bedroom or other small windows, curtain tiebacks will do the trick ...
